Counselling

Questions of meaning and fulfilment can arise gradually over time or be triggered by significant life events, such as the death of a loved one, a relationship break-up, or abrupt changes in one’s work life. This can lead to loss of motivation, feelings of depression, anxiety, frustration and/or grief.

Such questions can often be difficult to explore with your usual support networks, whether family, friends, colleagues, or community groups. This is particularly so when your questions, feelings, or aspirations go against the expectations of others, or perhaps challenge you to the very core of who you know yourself to be.

I offer a space in which to help you face into life in the here-and-now, and explore those questions that may not be so easy to bring up elsewhere. Rather than a narrow focus on fixing problems or tensions in your life, I will work with you at a more spacious level to include also what may be seeking to emerge in your life. I will work with you on a level that supports you best with your exploration, that may include both.

  • Breadth – the various facets of your being as may be relevant to your exploration, whether physical, emotional, intellectual, or spiritual; and

  • Depth – the elements of your history and life course that shape your worldview and inform your actions in the present moment.

I have a Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling, obtained via study with the Institute of Psychosynthesis N.Z. I am a member of PAnzA - a professional association for Psychosynthesis in Aotearoa NZ and Australia - and I adhere to its Code of Ethics.
